Registering a .de domain, for instance, currently requires submitting the name and postal address of the domain owner, the administrative and technical contact person and the zone administrator, as well as the telephone number, fax number and e-mail address of the technical contact person and zone administrator, to DENIC e.G., Frankfurt am Main, Germany and published online in the DENIC database under www.denic.de. Usage data, such as details about the commencement, ending and scope of specific services by the user or link data of e-mail services will only be requested, processed or used if it is necessary in order to allow and charge the utilization of these services.

Usually, data and time as well as time zone of the commencement and ending of the usage, the scope in bytes, the user’s IP address and the type of the used tele service are recorded.

In order to comply with existing legal regulations like the tax code and the GDPdU, the data will be archived in compliance with the law and according to the existing storage periods.

According to the BDSG, PRODATIS CONSULTING AG is authorized to notify law enforcement authorities and courts for purposes of prosecution. Upon request, PRODATIS will grant access to the user to his or her saved data immediately and free of charge and also electronically.
